DRAWINGS
1994 - present
Miyamori’s drawings are more personal than her larger works. They pertain to daily musings, reflecting upon short, fleeting ideas, and her dreams. In her drawings, she mainly uses water-soluble coloured pencils, along with acrylic and shell powder. Certain motifs exist within her drawings, often the form of how she sees different spaces and understands emotion. The bloody bird is often flying over a serene landscape, struggling in the air, whereas her curtains, an hourglass-like, infinity sign, and squares represent the spaces and energy flow she sees through her unique vision.
